Hey gys, I deleted my comp thread to make this one...

I'm in the market for a delay and compressor, but nothing fancy and certainly nothing expensive here are my ideas for each:

Compression:
Boss CS-3
Dyna Comp
Marshall Edward the Compressor
Behringer CS100
Aphex Punch Factory
Guyatone ST-2
Rocktron Big Squeeze or whatever it's called
DOD Milkbox
RT. 66 Compressor (The solo pedal, not the actual rt. 66)

Delay:
Digidelay
Ibanez DE-7
Guyatone Micro Delay
Danelctro DE-1
EHX #1 Echo

Thanks for your input. I know it's a lot to choose from but I just need to have the best for the price.
I'd like there to be as little tone sucking/coloring as possible.

So gimme your input, what's good, what's bad, what's awful, etc.

Thanks again.

I have a Dyna Comp and love it, it's definitely the best for the price.

And I was just on an epic delay quest, tried most of those pedals, and then discovered the CM Red Repeat, which is only a bit more expenise ($125) and sounds absolutely fantastic. Buy it.

Im pretty sure you had a thread on compression earlier today. And there were some great ideas in there.

Delay though, i would suggest memory man or ibanez ad-9

Updated lists:

Comp:
Dyna comp
Aphex Punch Factory
Guyatone ST-2
Rocktron Big Crush

Dyna Comp is leaning on me te most.

Delay:
Ibanez DE-7
Guyatone MD-2 Micro Delay
Danelectro DE-1 Danecho
EHX #1 Echo

Ibanez or Guyatone is leaning on me the most.

I've heard about the Red Repeat, is it really that good??

Absolutely. I mean, if you're looking for a more funky noise kinda delay, then go for the DE-7 or the #1, but if you want an actual really nice sounding delay go for the Red Repeat. It has a tone knob unlike most delay pedals so you can go from a nice warm tape echo to analog to digital depending on what you want. I'm loving it

Hows the bypass. I'm sure it's not true bypass, but is there tone coloring/suckage??

It's not TB but it has a very good buffer, no tone loss to my ears

Alright, I'll look into it.

As for compression, I see you have a Dyna Comp, have you tried any other compressors you can compare it to, or just tell me how it is??
