Ive been playing classical guitar for 6 years and now want to start electric, like for a change to classic music and a bit of fun. Im grade 4 Trinity Guildhall and was wondering what guitar/amp i should get. Mostly want to play rock/punk sort of stuff, and i dont really want a toal beginner guitar. Not much of an expert in electric guitar...can you help?

budget for just guitar: under £200

thanks =]

Another Birminghamian

£200 for both guitar and amp? You'd better go used if you want anything decent.

Guitars:
Fender fat strat
Old MIJ Squier strat
Cort G series

Amps:
Vox DA5
Vox Ad15vt

I remember my first erection. I went to my dad and was like "Do I have Aids???". I seriously thought there was something wrong with me.

I had a yamaha pacifica but thats a starter guitar in a starter pack. Its pretty decent 22 frets u can have a look at the reviews on this website. (strat shape)
*insert flashy humorous sig here*

Still, Fender fat strat is probably the best for you.
