Have these things really dropped that bad in value?

579...That like the price of midrange epiphone guitars...

Maybe it's because they're in no way better than Epiphone.

The Faded is an incredibly poor excuse for a USA made instrument.

I've played one or two good ones, would buy one myself if I had the money.

The fadeds are pretty good guitars, whoever said they were terrible obviously played one bad one and has called a judgment on every single one.

MANY of them have sharp frets, but besides that they are great cheap guitars.

As with ANY guitar, play before you buy.

^Not to mention the unfinished neck would probably play better.

As long as you find a nice one, they are a very nice guitar, especially for the price. Some I will agree are very poor quality control, but, as long as you buy from a store and play the guitar before you buy it, you should be happy with it.

I agree. I've played a few, and the neck is really smooth.

I own one and it sounds pretty nice, not quite as nice as a Standard or Supreme, but a great value, gibson- wise. I mean, the Epi G-400 is around $200 cheaper, but has horrible pickups and a much worse neckdive than the Gibson. My only issue with it is that its finish is turd- ugly. I can't even imagine how horrible it'd look if I had it in brown instead of cherry.
