How do I connect my Spider III to my computer? I have Audacity and want to do some recording...please tell me there is a simple cable to buy and not a $100 program...

Plug a cord from the headphone/direct out to a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter (which costs about $2) to the line in of your computers sound card.

just fart into a microphone, I imagine it will be more pleasing to hear than a spyder.

.....

Riffs & Recording form

get an interface like a line6 Toneport.
you could connect direct to your sound card but it will sound like crud.
plus you would need adapters.

best way is getting an interface for recording but you can also get a recording sound card with good inputs and all.
M-audio 2496 is a good card for around $100 with 2 sets of RCA inputs.
I used it with a yamaha MG mixer for a while until i got vista.
