could someone recommend an amp to me? I will be gigging at small venues playing mostly progressive metal and just straight up metal. the amp will have to have decent cleans as well. Right now, my price range is undetermined because i am going to purchase an amp in the future. preferably, I would want a combo amp, but a stack would do just fine i guess.

here are some amps i was looking at:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Randall-RG50TC-50W-1x12-Guitar-Combo-Amp?sku=481197

EDIT: just for reference, I am currently using a crate GLX65. its a piece of ****.

The B-52 is a good amp, I'd prefer it over the RG50TC (which is the better of the ones you listed). Don't base anything you buy off reviews. They did have problems before, but for the most part they're taken care of so I hear.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
