Alright specifically I have a question about these two amps...

Now, they have the same size speaker, but they have a different wattage? Does that mean the 30W one is louder than the other?

generally speaking, higher wattage gives a bigger potential for higher volume. in tube amps, more importantly there's more headroom.

most guitar amps use 12inch speakers, but there's the exception of small combos and others that use 8 and 10 inch speakers as well.

anyway, the size doesn't matter to much between those two amps.

What exactly is headroom in an amp? I've heard the term a million times, but i still dont know what it means. I have a feeling its a very simple concept

room for your head.

if you have less headroom, the ceiling is very low.

could also mean how much clean volume you can get before the powertubes begin to overdrive and add some grit to your sound.

There's all this talk about headroom, but no-one seems to care about footspace; even though it's much more important.
