Tell me what you think, thanks guys.

The streetlights are burning
The one source of light
Against the blackened sky

Empty schools house the ghosts learning
About how to die
When the world is ending

The flames rise up from the ashes
The battered remains from two fiery car crashes
Lie buried under the blanket of rain
Hoping, wishing, screaming out in pain

When the world is ending
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?
When the sirens are sounding
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?

I can’t feel anything
The world is ending
(I can’t see)
Are you by my side
As the worlds collide?
I can’t feel anything
The world is ending
(I can’t see)
Are you by my side
As the worlds collide?
Are you by my side
As the worlds collide?

When the world is ending
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?
When the sirens are sounding
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?

When the world ended
Were you there for me?
When the world ended
Did you care about me?
When the sirens sounded
Were you there for me?
When the world ended
Did you care about me?

Tell me what you think, thanks guys.

The streetlights are burning
The one source of light
Against the blackened sky
Captures my attention. I like the flow.
Empty schools house the ghosts learning
About how to die
When the world is ending
Again this flows well
The flames rise up from the ashes
The battered remains from two fiery car crashes
Lie buried under the blanket of rain
Hoping, wishing, screaming out in pain
I like the rhyming which doesn't come across as forced
When the world is ending
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?
When the sirens are sounding
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?
Direct, which i like. I like the use of questions as well.

I can’t feel anything
The world is ending
(I can’t see)
Are you by my side
As the worlds collide?
I can’t feel anything
The world is ending
(I can’t see)
Are you by my side
As the worlds collide?
Are you by my side
As the worlds collide?
Works well with the rest of the song
When the world is ending
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?
When the sirens are sounding
Will you be there for me?
When the world is ending
Will you care about me?

When the world ended
Were you there for me?
When the world ended
Did you care about me?
When the sirens sounded
Were you there for me?
When the world ended
Did you care about me?
I like hoe the song goes from future tense into past tense in this verse.

I like the concept behind this piece. The structure is solid, as is the flow and wording. I'm interested in knowing, what genre did you have in mind when you wrote this?
Ka pu te ruha ka hao te rangatahi.
