Hey, can anyone recommend some songs that have some easy to play guitar solos? Thanks.

solos aren't meant to be asy

There are plenty of easy solos.

The first ones everybody learns
Metallica Enter Sandman
Black Sabbath Iron Man
Guns n Roses Knockin on Heaven's door
Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven
Etc. Etc. Etc. just practice scales until you go up and down them pretty easily then try these. Then once you've got some licks, learn to improvise.

Well I wouldn't really say that Enter Sandman solo is a beginner solo...maybe the first small solo, but not the main one for sure.
If you want some solo from Metallica then-Nothing Else Matters,For Whom The Bell Tolls, the first two solos from Fade To Black,Sanitarium and One...but this to are not a piece of cake.

Yeah. Solos of the vocal melody. Real hard.

learn the key of a song and then just mess around with the pentatonics in that key. eventualy you will get a solo that sound similar. i have found it much easier to play my own solos a lot better than i can play other artists solos
they call og or nothing at all!!

Well generally it is much easier to learn to play your own solo than to cover others IMO,but the problem is in composing it

Crazy train is actually fairly easy but might just take a little practice to get the legato run at the end.

intro solo to
the unofrgiven, nothing else matters and one by metallica
and smells like teen spirit

Metallica has many nice solos, from beginner ones to really hard ones (before Hammett haters get here-there are a lot of harder non-Metallica solos of course,as well as a lot more of easier ones).

I think "Holiday" by Green Day is easy, as with American Idiot. Their older solos are a bit more challenging. Don't Stop Believing by Journey is simple. Hmmmm..."Crazy on You" by Heart...now that's an easy solo...
#28
How long do you have to play (on average, looking at normal stats) to be considerd intermediate? Cause I've been playing for more or less 2years and find some of the solo's mentioned still piss hard

That's the most retarded thing I have ever heard. "Solo" is not defined as "a showcase of technical virtuosity," it's where someone plays over-top of the song, hopefully to add to it. They can be as simple or complex as you want.

SEVEN NATION ARMY
And depends if you have a Whammy pedal.

Don't need a Whammy at all on Seven Nation Army. Need to tune to Open A and use a slide for it.

That's not legato, that's all picked. I'm also really tired of people who say "crazy train is soo easy", when they probably spent several hours working on it. An easy solo shouldn't take more than an hour to have down perfect.

Anyway

Sweet Child of Mine (The first solo) - Guns n Roses
Knockin on Heaven's Door - Guns N Roses
Blood Brothers (Second solo) - Iron Maiden
Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix

DragonForce - Through the Fire and Flames

For easy solos, try anything in Guitar Hero

Haha, ok, I'm done kidding around. I'm new here and a n00b.

Godsmack's Livin' in sin. The easiest solo to do. You might want to get a Wah but without it, it still sounds great.
