I know alot of bands, but I'm wondering which ones you guys prefer.
I listen to alot of As Blood Runs Black, Elysia, My Hero is Me, Bloody Sunday, and alot of the common bands.

But are there any like indie bands many don't know about that you know?

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

Whitechapel.

Yes, for some reason their's stand out for me.

but anyways

Beneath the massacre
Cryptopsy

that is all

Listen to the breakdown at the beginning of "In the kingdom where everything dies even the sky is mortal"

that son, is nice.

*just to clarify, I'm talking about the part where the high vocals come in, and then it starts when they switch to a low growl*

No such thing.

Like literally, no such thing as a great breakdown.
They just don't exist.
They're quite mythical though.

Yea no such thing as a great breakdown in metalcore or deathcore because they are all so unoriginal and sound exactly the same.

Revenance, I recommend Five Shots and Passive Labor
Abominable Putridity, I recommend Entrails Full of Venom and Skin Removal
Suffokate, I recommend The Skies Were Filled With Fire.. seriously the breakdown in that song is unbeatable.

Sick of these greatest breakdowns and greatest breakdown bands threads. But Parkway Drive does have some violent breakdowns. Notably 'Romance is Dead' and 'Pandora.'
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.
