I'm going camping this Friday, and they want me to bring my acoustic (Ovation Elite 1778T, in case anybody is wondering. Awesome guitar). I don't know too many campfire-appropriate songs. I know Stairway (obviously), Paradise City, Knocking on Heaven's Door... even those aren't exactly campfire songs. But the people I'm with would at least know them.

Anyway, somebody give me some songs to learn before then that a lot of people will recognize and know the words to. Thanks in advance =)

It really depends on who you are going camping with. Different peopel like different music. So if they all like classic rock maybe try brown eyed girl, american pie, old tiem rock and roll, stuff like that you no. The main idea is to play songs that everyone will know so they an sing along with it.

Thanks. Besides my girl and some younger kids, it's a bunch of my mom's friends. They are all into Led Zeppelin and GnR type stuff... American Pie sounds like a good one to do. Not sure how I didn't think of that myself. I'm also liking On the Road Again lol.

I'll get shot for this but anything by John Denver. I'm a closet Denver fan .

Play and sing Annie's Song to your girl, she will be putty in your hands .

Fantastic folk-ish song. And its easy, the chorus is just Em, C, D7, G.

Hey There Delilah was carefully designed by the world's top researchers to make girls want to have sex with whoever is playing it. That is its only purpose.

Good Riddance, however, just plain sucks.
