How do i get my recorded song into an mp3? i have heard of MAgix and have thought of purchasing it.

Most recording software will be able to bounce a recording and be able to export the track as a mp3 file. If thats what your asking?

Your mixing software dumps the stereo mix to a raw audio file, which you encode to mp3 with LAME (google it, Audacity is a good frontend for the encoder).

Or, if you go the analog route, just record the tape out with your PC and then encode that.

yeah, Audacity does the job. Get the Audacity Installer, and the LAME MP3 encoder as well.
