it seems as all the bands that were from the era never wore shorts at all and they rarely wore short sleeved shirts.

I don't really understand why basses have 24 frets, I mean, I've never seen a bassist playing more than the 12 fret.

Actually, they exclusively wore kilts, which made the free love of the 60's considerably more accessible.

They were not a big fashion trend.

well...actually.... in the 70's really short shorts were fairly popular.

i have some pretty amazing pictures of my dad and his friends in highschool (graduated in 77)

So... yes, they did have shorts.

But they were not as destinct a fashion trend.

Kind of how people will look back at this generation and probably not realize some of our stupid fashion trends.

Not me. I'm 80 years old at heart. That's why I'll never make it to 30 years.

Some Bands back in those days were told what to wear by their management or record companies and some of the others actually cared how they looked on stage. Unlike some of the great greasy unwashed masses of today. There is an artist out called Andrew WK and he prides himself on wearing the same unwashed clothing all the time on and off stage. also take a look at Sam Roberts doesnt look like he has combed his hair or shaved since High School. If you are playing a show atleast try to look like you didn't just roll out of bed and grab old clothes out of the hamper.
