i bought a standard precision bass used at guitar center back in august,
and i never really thought of this until now.
the fender logo on it isnt the silver sticker type but its black ink directly on the headstock.
i dont know if its making much sense,
but im curious are these a limited edition type thing or maybe a mishap or what?
maybe its nothing.

if you need i can find a picture.

Yes... ther have been Fender MIM made with the black logo. Don't worry about it being fake. Fender has rarely been consistent about such things.

Black logo? same bass, just really old. the first three digits of your SN should be like MN5, MN4, or lower. They're early 90's.
