Today I visited the guitar store and tried out the Vox Ad30VT 30W but my little friend was whining about me getting a Marshall. I tried the Vox and well hm... I will almost only Green Day (both oldies and new songs) and Blink 182.
I have around 400 dollar, it's cheaper to buy amps in USA cause is have around 2500 Swedish kronor.

I want to try to copy theses song for example: (get a guitar that would sound as close to this)

Hope you get it... So mostly punk pop or what'eva you like to call it.
I have a Epiphone Special 2. Some don't know what to get... help me out. Want to copy these kind of music as easy and possible. Nothing wrong with Vox but.. hmm ?

With that budget and for your style of music, the AD30VT is a really good choice. Don't listen to your "little friend", as he probably knows very little about amps, and the Marshall brand name is not synonymous with quality. In your price range, the only Marshall available is the MG, which is synonymous with "overpriced piece of crap".

Palomino V16! Do it!

I upgraded my son from a Vox AD30VT to a Palomino V16, and he couldn't be happier. It's great for those pop punk acts.

Are there going to be any issues running an amp designed to run at 120V and 60hz back home?
You Don't Need a halfstack.

You Don't Need 100W.

I'm trying to be as helpful as I possibly can. Best amp in your price range: Palomino V16

edit: ahhh... I thought you were buying in the US, not Sweden.

There is a considerable difference between a tube amp (rörforstärkare) like the Palomino, and a solid state (transistorförstärkare) like the Vox AD30. A 15W tube amp is louder than a 30W SS amp. Anyway, you will probably not find a tube amp that's within your budget in Sweden, except a 5W, which might be a little small.

Does Thomann deliver to Sweden?

Maybe something like the Laney LC15R?

Yes, you can ship out of the US with Guitar Center. I don't know what the prices would be like though. It says free shipping with orders over $99, but I can only assume that applies to the Lower 48.

Better buy it in Sweden... Hm... heard that Orange is some good ****

Orange Crush CR30R combo

That is not a good Orange amp. Don't judge by brand name. Almost every commercial manufacturer that makes good amps also makes some rather bad low-range amps to make some extra money. You'd be much better off with the Vox.

Did your friend want you to get a Marshal MG?
Yepp, He's like: IGGY POP GOOO! RAMONES GOO! FGS! That **** is boring to play... he thinks Blink 182 and Green Day suck... compare Iggy Pop to Green Day.. Yeah... I think I will buy a VOX AD30VT...
