Hi, can someone help me pick a new Amp. I be using it for anything form ac dc to shadows fall. I have a Ibanez S470 with Dimarzio Fred and paf pro pickups. It be good if it was a valve amp. i can spend abit more than £400 pound.

I havn't tried them (unfortunately) but from what people have said they can do most genres.

-playing stadiums
-none of the above

I'm about to spend about 200 dollars (US) on an Epi valve junior half stack. You should look into those, but since you have a much bigger budget, I dunno. But this thing is only 5 watts for a valve amp, which is enough I think for my room lol.

Yeah, a 5W valve amp should be enough.
EVJ, Peavey Royal 8, Crate Palomino V8, or an Ibanez Valbee are amps you should consider.

If you can stretch your budget a bit, you're in Laney Lionheart L5T and Cornford Harlequin territory...

what about thoses new peavy mini colossals has anyone tried one or herd anything goof about them

this is why marshall need a 5 watter tube combo..

laney vc15 perhaps. also dont get something quiet if you intend to go further than your bedroom in the future, may as well go with very slight tone loss at bedroom volumes than lack of volume at gigs. the 15 would do small gigs, but i see no real reason not to get the vc30

laney vc30 at www.gak.co.uk = £297 + postage

maxon od808 at www.thomann.de = £102 + £5 postage

should be around £420 max

if however you don't plan to go further than your bedroom, vc15.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
