So i read a thread recommending a loop station. and since i dont have a band or anyone around for that matter to jam with, i thought it would be a good idea to get one myself. Any recommendations? please not to expensive.

Boss RC-2 is pretty much an inexpensive standard. It does the job well, and provides you with a basic loop and drum beat without being overly complicated.

I'm a fulltime college student too, so I understand your budget needs. Ebay will definitely be your best bet. If you really want to cheap out, record something on your computer through a webcam, set it to repeat on iTunes, and just jam over it. It won't sound nearly as good, but it'll do the trick.

i tried that with audacity, and well it just doesn't cut it for me. i looked on ebay and they are more expensive than guitar center!! its nuts!

Jerks! You could create loops with programs such a Fruity Loops and just play over those tracks....

There is. I'm not sure what this site's policy is on illegal downloads of software though. *Don't* check limewire for it though, because I hear it's *not* on there. I think there's a free trial of it though.

haha its not a lefty explorer. its a righty. i love it to pieces, will be my main guitar for as long as it works lol. yeah well i dont have limewire or anything like that because of my hard-drive failure immanent thing. but i'll have a looksy for a free trial or something.
