What do you guys think of my tone? My band bitches constantly, "I can't f*ing pick out what you're playing! It's too muddy!" Is it that bad? I love it as it is.

Here it is:

By the way, don't mind the song. I know it sucks but it's the best quality recording to demonstrate I have.

In gr.8 we got into purple nurples so much that the school would suspend anyone they saw doing it. We had really good aim.

well i might turn the mids up a bit more and find a distortion thats a little bit smooth. theres nothing wrong with it though.

What equipment are you using? Your tone is definitely not doing a good job of cutting through the mix. It is way too muddy.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

I'm using a electro harmonix big muff, and to make it sound so bassy I use an eq for more low mids.
#9
use a metal muff instead

Too much bass. Turn down the bass, increase the treble, and go to the bridge humbucker if you're using the neck one.
