So far my band as a 3 piece play these covers:
Numb - Linkin Park
Dammit - Blink 182
Here's Your Letter - Blink 182
In Bloom - Nirvana
Saturday Superhouse - Biffy Clyro
57 - Biffy Clyro
Strung To Your Ribcage - Biffy Clyro
Toys Toys Toys Choke Toys Toys Toys - Biffy Clyro

And 2 originals.

We are looking for more songs by 3 piece bands to play. Any suggestions? We are all pretty good at our instruments.

Cheers

Aren't Linkin Park the opposite of a 3 piece?

Lol opposite? But yeah your right. It's easy enough to play with 1 guitar though. We manage.

Maybe the Who? We're looking for more modern stuff though. I'll look in to it.

These might seem a bit heavier and more complicated than what you've got listed, but I'll throw in my 2 cents:

"Five Minutes Alone" or "Walk" by Pantera
Anything and everything by The Jimi Hendrix Experience
"Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed
"Devil's Dance" by Metallica (yes, it can be done on one guitar)
Pretty much anything in Ozzy's catalog (and Black Sabbath, by extension)

Fire
Purple Haze
Star Spangled Banner (If You Feel Crazy)
Voodoo Child (If You Have A Wah Pedal)

All by Jimi Hendrix or associated acts
Rig:
MIM Fender Strat

Vox V847A Wah
Dunlop JH-F1 Fuzz Face
Boss DS-1
Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9 x2!!!
Boss Passive A/B Box
Boss BF-3 Flanger
Boss Volume Pedal

Marshall 4203 Artist 30Watt Tube
Epiphone Electar Tube 30

There's a lot of good Blink 182 songs out there. Playing "What's my age again?" will challenge your guitarist, "Man Overboard" shouldn't challenge your bassist, but it'll give him something fun to do, and almost any Blink song should challenge your drummer

Then there's always bands like AFI and The Offspring...I'd experiment with those bands, then send me a message when you need more bands

Play anything from Rush before the Moving Pictures era. Singing may be a problem, but you may be able to make it sound good an octave or 2 lower.

Thanks for the help guys. We've added another Blink song and I'm looking into the other suggestions. Tidy.

Jimi Hendrix. He's godly. Cream was a 3 piece, with any bands, find easier songs to play first, as well as well known songs.

AFI- Days of the Phoenix
InMe- Faster The Chase
InMe- 7 Weeks
InMe- I Won't Let Go
Muse- Dead Star
Biffy Clyro- Justboy
Daisy Chainsaw- You're Gruesome <-I'd love you forever if you did that.

Any muse song would be awesome, if you have a big muff lying around (and who dosn't) get your self playing "Time is Running Out" which is an awesome song, and if you have a half-way-decent bass player it will give him a chance to shine.

We have two guitars now anyway

But thanks for the suggestion for Faster The Chase. You got me into a band! And we're doing that song!

I'd have to say "Hey Joe" or "Castles made of Sand" by Jimi Hendrix.

A little heavier, but I would suggest "H." or "Right in Two" by Tool.

Good songs you've got, by the way.

If you've heard of the Subways, they're awesome and a 3-piece. Try like Oh Yeah or With You by them, they're good songs.
