so at the weekend im going to completely wire up, from scratch, a telecaster custom, (the 2 humbucker one)

i have the following:

shiney new soldering iron (and a fair bit of experience)
new pups (PAF and a hotrails)
all pots, switches and wires
lovely diagram
half a brain

the only thing i need is advice on where to start. like what wires to put in first for maximum simplicity.

so, any ideas on the best way to go about this?

all advice appreciated.

zomg! thats all very complex.

i already adapted a seymour duncan diagram (for a tappy killswitch and a coil split)

so we're saying screw everything in, then the hots to the switch, then take those to the pots, then earth everything?

ONLY if you're using 1-volume, 1- tone.

The Tele Custom had 2-volumes, 2-tones. That requires wiring the pickups to the pots, then from there to the switch, finally to your killswitch and output jack.
