Just wondering what you guys think. I can't compare personally as i only have access to the Palomino, sold at GuitarCenter. The Carvin probly has better quality, but what about the speakers? Never heard much about the Carvin brand name speakers they put into the vintage 16...i'm looking for versatility here, and a nice clean tone, but also some smooth overdrive.

thanks a lot.

Thanks for any advice.

I have not tried the Carvin but the Palomino i have exceeded my expectations. Pretty good cleans with very good overdrive. Enough distortion to get van halen sounds. I suggest getting one used that was made in america beacause you will save some cash and get a better quality amp, since the new ones are made in vietnam and have quality issues.
