I know the top notch EMG's are active and these are passive, but for this and the fact that its a low output, why are they so cheap?
anyone here ever brought one?
I'm very interested in what they sound like for that price.
I mean why would a pickup manufacturer produce some s*** one's when they are known for such good ones?

I don't think that they are much good at all. They get a lot of abuse on here.

Just out of curiosity, how have you upgraded your LP?

And its got locking tuners, strap locks, and new pots, switches etc.
Saving up for a new bridge and pickups at the mo

i think that pick-ups are something like ESP-EMG. designed by emg, manufactured by some unknown brand/guitar company. it's not as the same as the real deal, don't let the price fool you.

ok, it was purly out of interest, i'd either stumbled across a bargain or some really terrible ones, and now i know.

If you want cheap, passive EMGs, you should at least get HZs, or suck it up and get the real thing.
