The Cube 60 is a good modelling amp. The sound for metal is pretty good.
Oppression, quiet and Repressed
Swept under the seams
the bed of the acquiesced
where we sleep, insomniac dreams

i dont think so for that amount of money you should get a tube amp and there a modeling solid state amp which cant really take pedals very well you cant perform with it. ive tried it and i didnt like it i always had to go back and change the channel after one song i changed to my normal amp. i play melodic death metal and metalcore and i just found this sweet amp thats perfect for you

i'd save up a bit more and go buy a used 5150 or something, it'll really help those EMGs do their worth

Deffinately second the 5150, or a Mesa F-30/F-50 Combo would be good as well.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
