Id have to say a Marshall combo if u can find a used one, maybe a Peavey Vintage 30 with an OD?

EDIT: just thought of this, a Vox AC15CC2 combo is only $550, and if u have a PA to mic it with, itll work just fine.

pray you win the lottery? j/k get a decent 4x12 cab.

then try and find a used head somewhere along the lines of a b52 triple rectifier:

i found a guy selling that head and matching cab barely used for 500 around here.

Threadstarter...I have three words for you: Used. Valve. Combo.

If you can find one for that price...a Marshall JCM 800 would be ideal...since thats pretty much the benchmark for hair metal.
