okay if you dont have actual musical experience then you probably dont know wtf a pickup not is. anyways im trying to overlay a guitar to play a pickup riff over another guitar but im not quite sure how to do it. help appreciated.

Add a measure before it and put the notes at the end of the measure... kinda simple. Maybe I don't understand you right. I know what a pickup note is.

Record a measure of silence using rests. If the pickup note is an eighth note, put a half rest, quarter rest, eighth rest, then the note.

lol idk wtf i was thinkin on my speling thing, but i've tried to to the whole measure of silence thing and then the "artificial pickup" but i cant get it right, and i've seen it done in actual tabs a bunch o' times
