“Somewhere Down The Road”

[Verse 1]
Some feelings last forever
Others cease to exist
I thought ours would never fade away
I hoped they would persist
But your warmth towards me left
It vanished all of a sudden
Such an unpleasant surprise for me
And for some time I was left wonderin’…

[Chorus]
But just as trees lose their colors of fall
And flowers wither away
It’s all a fact of this life
Good times never seem to stay
Still, leaves find their shades of autumn again
While daisies bloom once more
Have some patience, you will see
You’ll feel how you did before

You’ll find the girl of your dreams
And meet her somewhere down the road

[Verse 2]
My selfish thoughts deceived me
They played my mind
Forced me to say the wrong words
And keep what I meant inside
But if the past was changed
Would it work out?
Well, that doesn’t matter much now
You’re still someone I’m livin’ without…

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Yeah, it’s painful
And it’ll always be a part of you
But you’ve got to let it go

Pick up the pieces
And start a new game
That’s the strength you’ve got to show

Cause you’re not through yet
But only just begun
You’ve got your whole life ahead, don’t you know

Oh, don’t you know…

[Guitar Solo]

[Chorus/Outro]

You need to douse it in a 20/30/50 ratio of mustard/ketchup/horseradish and stroke it as fast as you can untill the mayonaise squirts out. Then consume.

I liked this stanza 'cept for "exist" and "persist" ; I know they rhyme and all, but the "ex" sound and "sis" sound kind of...I wanna say caucophonic (harsh to the ear) but meh, it could work.

[Chorus]
But just as trees lose their colors of fall
And flowers wither away
It’s all a fact of this life
Good times never seem to stay
Still, leaves find their shades of autumn again
While daisies bloom once more
Have some patience, you will see

Nothing wrong with this stanza, it works well.

[Verse 2]
My selfish thoughts deceived me
They played my mind
Forced me to say the wrong words

Would it work out?

This has a cliché feel to it...but for some reason it works for me...Nice job!

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Yeah, it’s painful
And it’ll always be a part of you
But you’ve got to let it go

Pick up the pieces
And start a new game

Oh, don’t you know…

Yeah, pretty good, although the "pick up the pieces" and "whole life ahead of you" are a little clichéd.

[Guitar Solo]

Wow, bonkers guitar solo; he must of mashed his fingers way up high on the little tiny frets!

[Chorus/Outro]

Overall, very nice. I like it. Now...check out "At Mind's End" in my sig if you want; really good job sire, and I hope to see more from you.
