Sounds mostly pentatonic. As far as patterns go I would agree that they are his own licks but listening to the whole video he really uses a lot of cyclic patterns and sequence patterns in his playing. Cyclic patterns are basically cycles of notes that repeat them selves over and over. If you take the same cyclic pattern idea and move it up or down the scale being played then you would have cyclic-sequence patterns which is what i think he is mostly doing.

It won't show you what his fingers are doing, but if you want a little help listening to it, you can use this site http://vixy.net/ to rip the audio into an mp3 and then slow it down with Windows Media Player (right click the play button) or a program like the Amazing SlowDowner (Google it).

Should just make it easier to hear what he's playing, if you're trying to tab it.
