Hi folks, I have a couple questions:

1) Can someone please tab this: http://www.bobgill.net/jem.zip It is the first few bars of a song by Jem called California Sun, I'd really like to know how to play this

2) Here is Orange Sky: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/a/alexi_murdoch/orange_sky_ver2_crd.htm
I really love this song but I don't understand how to play this, what does C/G mean? I have seen the artist perform it on a Youtube video (here http://youtube.com/watch?v=XymNd2JyS68) and he hardly moves his fretting hand at all, so I am getting confused

TIA for any help!

i BELIEVE the C/G means a C chord built off of G. G is the Dominent or 5th note in the key of C, so instead of your basic chord going, C E G, it goes G E C. It's still a C chord, but its put together a little differently giving it a slightly different sound

acerst,

Thank you very much for your help. What does the 3 in brackets means on the E string above ??

Also, I am studying how to understand notes and chords, so bare with me What do you mean basic chord going C E G, does that mean playing the C, then E, then G? All three chords? Or are you referring to something else?

Thanks again!
