The bible. 2 kings 2:23 - 24

"Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths."

Am I right in believing this tells the story of some kids (chavs by the sound of it =P) calling a guy bald, so God kills them? That's a bit.... harsh... don't you think?

Being bald had religious and ethnic connotations back then. It was basically racist bigotry.

The rabbi enjoys a nice drink and the ducks are shooed out so that health services aren't called in.
The day proceeds as normal.

well 'god' expects us to abide by his rules and if we break the slightest rule, such as stealing or adultry, we are sent to hell for eternity. why is this any worse?

bollocks
