Well, I bought a Valve King a while back, like... 5 or less months ago because I loved the cleans, and the overdrive it had. I primarily played clean stuff, as well as lightly distorted rock (Zep, Deep Purple, etc), and it was a match made in heaven. However, I've been getting into the heavier stuff, as well as the blues a lot more, and playing it.

So I need some pedals that will get me the sound of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, etc.

As well as one that will send me into the zone of metal bands such as... early Metallica, Opeth, and others with a generally chunky bass tone.

I don't want a pedal that's retardedly distorted, but one that isn't muddy, and will do some decent distortion.

The Valve King can do distortion, however, it's a little bit muddy, and trebly for my taste.

I was thinking of an Ibanez Tube Screamer. Anything else?

I have a wah pedal covered. As well as a delay, chorus, and phaser. Not sure how it's relevant though.
