Hey guys,

Long story short, my guitar teacher found his pickups from his 80s fender strat and gave them to me (wooyeah) and I thought it might be fun to build a guitar around them.

First question; before i start this thing, how do i check that the pickups are all working? I think I can check by checking the resistance, but I'm not sure how exactly.

Second question; where can I get the parts from? Are there any sites you guys would recommend? Preferably UK so I can return stuff easily if there are any problems.

I'm pretty much after a standard strat body (so Ash wood methinks) with a maple neck.

Anything I should consider before I start?
