Well, Xmas is coming now and I'm wondering if there's any good pickups that would give my dk2 dinky a heavier sound.

Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of some Emg but not sure.

DK2 is Aldar wood?

When you say you want a heavier sound, you can easily go for any pickup with high output. The real question is, do you want a heavy sound with a lot of treble, a heavy sound with a lot of bass, something in between, muddy, ''twangy'', smoothe, warm etc.

EDIT: User above me gets a +1, EMG's+Tube amp are quite nice, solid state they suck.

You want to strap a bunch of used mattresses to the walls?

Why not just roll around naked in medical waste while you're at it?

Methinks you need a new amp.

EMGs may possibly sound worse than your current pickups through your amp.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

What bands do you play?

I'd still say save up for a new amp.
