so these are the two electrics im looking at right now. i play classic rock stuff, but i also play heavier stuff too. im really into zeppelin. i play through an Epi VJ (love it to death, please dont suggest a different amp.) i know the schecter is more for metal (not too into metal, early sabbath stuff though) but i love the inlays.
the michael kelly is a beautiful guitar. i really like the way it looks

they both have coil tapping.

both under 500 dollars.. i dont want to spend much more than 500 if suggesting anything else.

Schecter
or
Michael Kelly

i really like them both... im really stuck here.

I have a Schecter S-1 Blackjack that I love, but every single Michael Kelly Patriot I've put it against has kicked its ass.

You might wanna take a look at the Michael Kelly Patriot Black; it's pickups can handle both the classic rock and the higher gain music that you want to play.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

Quilted Maple = Sexy .

Seriously though, check out the Patriot Black. It's a sweet guitar.
