So none of the songs will play and the album artwork is all distorted
when i navigate the menus it keeps freezing
i plugged it into the computer and it wont recognize it

Just a couple hours ago my ipod was messing up too. The computer wouldn't recognize it or anything. I restarted my laptop and then I plugged in my ipod for a little way. It recognized it after a few minutes and then it told me to download a new update for it. So yeah, try that.

Also, hold down the menu button and the middle button so that it restarts or whatever. Then plug it in to the computer.

try restarting it. If all else fails, reset it to default and clear the hard drive. If the warranty has recently expired, your Ipod is probably close to death.

That happened to my mp3 player once. (not an iPod, but whatever) The computer wouldn't recognize it, so I couldn't add or remove songs. Luckily, my warranty was still good, so I brought it to the store and I just picked up another one. I don't know for sure, but your iPod might be permanently damaged.

EDIT: Your iPod is less than a month old! Just go return it and get a new one.

I don't understand all this iPod hate.
I've had 4 iPods from 2nd gen all the way to 5th gen and the only problem I've ever had is battery life (which happens with Lithium Ion batteries)
I once dropped (well i didn't drop it someone threw it) an iPod out of a second story window and it was fine, it didn't even turn off.

It's stereo amp, and I don't think it's tube. However, for a stereo amp, it is very good. Don't plug guitar into it; just use it as hi-fi if it works.

consumers will always downplay brands other than there chosen brands of their fanboy idealism

just how Niner fans hate Raider fans, and vice versa, and how people love metallica, but hate megadeth, or vice versa

the witty part of me wants to say that, iPod's aren't made for porn. ;]

but nah, just take it back to the apple store, plain and simple
