Hello. I am an A2 Level D & T student who is in the design stage of making a guitar and i would really appreciate it if anyone who sees this could just comment on each of these designs. The basic premise of my work is to create a guitar that has no intonation issues. They are here:

1.

Solve intonation problems using -
A compensated Zerofret

2.

3.

Solve intonation problems using -
A fully tempered fretting system.

4.

5.

6.

Solve intonation problems using -
A fret board, all in one part of aluminium, with a stepped fretting system (similar to the bond guitar) which is also fully tempered

If you could copy and paste the following and comment on each category it would be immensely helpful. And bear in mind that these scannings are not the highest quality but use your imaginations. I found with my other ones that the colour made it look tacky so i didnt bother with these. Though if anyone could direct me to a rendering programme to do it on my PC that would be great :

I NOW ONLY NEED EVALUATIONS OF THESE LAST THREE AS I HAVE GOT SUFFICIENT FROM THE OTHER THREAD FOR THE FIRST 3. THE POLL STILL APPLIES TO ALL THOUGH THANKS

Unless you're sure she likes you, telling her you like her has a 110% chance of failing.

But hey, at least you have a 10% chance of absolutely guaranteeing failure.

1.
Shape - I liked this shape the best, it's pretty extreme, but it's not Too much
Overall Look - Sleek!
Opinion on the effectiveness of the system - I wouldn't know...
Suggested Changes - make the horn a little bit sharper and a little less stumpy

2.
Shape - I thought this one was pretty ugly
Overall Look - reminds me of one of those Vox guitars
Opinion on the effectiveness of the system - I wouldnt know...
Suggested Changes - Change the headstock, and, I know its a different sound, but maybe dont use slanted pickups and maybe add an oldschool tremelo (bigsby-styled) to kind of , Fill up the huge empty part you have at the bottom

3.
Shape - pretty good, but so bland, its a little bit a combo of a strat and an RG (ibanez)
Overall Look - The frets look so bad, i'm sorry
Opinion on the effectiveness of the system - I doubt this would work, plus it takes away alot of the visual apeal IMO
Suggested Changes - find another system, and do something to make it stand out between strats and RG's

4.
Shape - a little strange, but it's certainly good with a little changes
Overall Look - VERY clearly inspired by a firebird, i think the headstock is even pretty exact
Opinion on the effectiveness of the system - Again, I wouldnt know
Suggested Changes - Maybe, you should leave out the little cut out on the top side

5.
Shape - Extreme but, i'm sure certain people will like it
Overall Look - I didnt like the headstock at all, it looks like an axe
Opinion on the effectiveness of the system - I wouldn't know
Suggested Changes - change the headstock, and lose a few off the curves

6.
Shape - A bit too much of an explorer/ flying V mix .
Overall Look - Looks like a midget guitar
Opinion on the effectiveness of the system - ...
Suggested Changes - change the upper horn, make it a little bit sharper

1 and 4 are my favourites!
you did a good job

Once again, I prefer the top one. 4 and 5 are excellent designs, 5 looks a bit too small for the neck, but any bigger and it'd look a lot like the Ibanez Ziphos. I also suggest having a look at number 4, the neck loos a bit small and off-centre though I imagine that's just a drawing error.

Effectiveness? Er, there's only so much you can say from looking at line drawings...
