...to change the finish on this?


I have a guitar pretty similar to the one above but in tobacco burst...and I hate it (the color, not the guitar).

I was thinking about painting it in a dark green transparent (something like this click here) since the wood grain looks decent. But I'm worried about not being able to fully remove the yellowness from the tobacco burst and being left with a junky looking guitar.

So, any advice from the esteemed assembly?
Depends on how thick the maple top is. You can probably sand it down all right but doing a finish like the green one you described is pretty hard and im almost certain will require an airbrush.
