Well ive had my 5150 for a while and im starting not to like it. Tired of just playin heavy metal, but i do like on the clean w/ crunch i can get a nice angus tone but thats the only thing i like about it

i play alot of rock (nirvana)
Classic rock (acdc zep GnR floyd)
some metal (not like death like Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden.

So im really just looking for a more versital amp.

I will have $1,100 to spend MAX

thanks

you could get a peavey classic 30 or 50, and along with your 5150 for metal, you should be set for any style perfectly.

I reccomend a speaker swap to a celestion vintage 30, tung-sol preamp tubes, and aJJ power tubes (or maybe it was the other way around...) for the classic series amps.

I like my C30, but I've recently been looking for a randall or a 5150 for the opposite reason than you, I wanna do more shred/metal stuff..

I'd buy yours, but Im broke right now lol.

Look into a used Mesa Mark III series. You can get them on ebay for $500-$700 usually. Great tones, great gain, beautiful cleans, everything in between, and built to last forever.
