ok, so here is what i've got. i got some work to do. i've been all ****ed up lately (surgery, broken PodXT, job problems, etc) so i haven't been able to do much with my music (or with anyone elses! i've got 3 bands i've got to record! aahhhh!!). So I finally sat down and mixed this song since i haven't put it out yet. when my pod X3 comes in i will add some more solo's and some more ambience. i wanna change some drum stuff too, they are pretty bland ATM. so, take a listen and give your crits! i'll be glad to crit anyone elses tunes as well. \m/

Pretty good, but the rythm guitar guitar got wayyyyy to repetitive.

Yes, someone "was ate jam" while they were playing.
Brilliant observation.

yeah, fair enough. i got lotsa stuff to do on it. i cut a lot of parts out. there was a trippy kind of ambient part that slowly grew into a super heavy thing, but it made the song over 7 minutes. i've got some other scratch tracks down with guitar rig 2, but i hate the guitar tones.
listening now, i like then general idea for the song, but the guiatr for me isnt beafy enough, dont know if it has enogh low or mid i cant tell, maybe to much crunch.
but as the person above said the rythm guitar is kinda repetative, i think it could go altogether and not be a problem.

but the playing is nice and clean, and i general a good song

cheers james

oh yes, finally some decent metal on here. the rhythm tone was great imo, nice and clean and crunchy. the rhythm sounded meshuggahesque without the crazy sigs. it would be better if you turned this into a song with badass vocals rather than an instrumental with random lead parts here an there. because with vocals this could really blow people away.

the bit with the trem picking is awesome. just blasts galore. although wtf are you tuned to? definitely lower than D standard i presume? if not then why dont i sound so low
