I agree that this should be stickied, but I doubt anyone's going to sticky this thread, as this forum gets virtually no moderation.

Remember the other day when there were 4 threads about toneports at the top. Having reported 3 of 'em, I returned later to find one of them had been closed. That's what I call a result.

Anyways, I have a gear list on my profile, I won't bother taking a photo though, as I doubt anyone's interested in a computer, a couple of mics and an mbox in a cupboard.

I also see a lot of recording type posts in the guitar gear and accessories section but any time I report any type of post like that asking to have it moved I see it stay in the same place...

I should really become a mod.........

as for your studio, any pics are great...no matter how big or small a studio is. Over at Tweak's board they have a huge thread like this and about 1/4 of the studios are just small rigs but still interesting.

Here is a few of mine. Built a 64' x 30' building and have 900 sq. ft. of it as my studio. The rest of the building is garage space. but is available if I need to expand.

^ Not the UX8!!!

really, the thing runs on USB and is overpriced...
The PreSonus FP10 is a much better choice

The UX8 is just like the toneports which dont sound all that great. I would not waste my money on the UX8 TBH

*bump*

I just went around and snapped a few quick pics of the studio for updated pics. I used the cam flash so most are overexposed...ill try to update them with better lights soon.

The second screen is a very old CRT which I just hooked up yesterday to get some work done in Sonar as I am mixing audio for a video. The single screen was too annoying.

Yea a place to show off my studio....lol..... what musician doesnt like to show off all of my studio pics are on my myspace page so heres the link to the album.... I need to post pictures of my new gear i recently aquired from a auction...... I got a box like 4ft tall and 2ft wide completley full of practilly brand new cables..... most of them are monster instrument cables... and a ton of shure mic cables.... and some really heavey duty speaker cables also there were some shure mics at the bottom of the box...... a couple of manuals to a roland digital recorder and inside was a contract from someone who sold the rapper t-pain a song called "buy you a drink"..... i was the only musician at the auction and got all of it for $40 i was bidding against one guy only cuz he knew the shure mics were in there and wanted to sell them on ebay..... guess cuz he wasnt a musician he didnt know how much the cables were worth... Im still laughin, he came up to me after i got the box and was like ill give you $20 for those shure mics at the bottom of the box, after i told him no he said they go for $20 on ebay like i was a dumbass they were brand new and go for $100 there is two sm58's one with a swithch... and 3 sm57's.... all and all i got about 200 or so cables, 2 differnet usb interfaces and 5 shure mics...... and still have a grin on my face.... that was the best day i have had in a long time..... anyways enough blabbing heres the link:

Here's the studio on my campus, which basically belongs to my band after dark until we graduate.

Pro Tools HD

ghetto iso booth

conrol room from the other side

the recording space, set up for drums

drums + mics

the oh-so-frustrating talkback mic

So yeah, there you have it. The debut EP will be out soo and you'll be able to hear just how amazing that studio is. They'll be at www.myspace.com/kakiatpark in a month or so. There are also more pictures on the myspace of the studio.

Colleges seem to like the Digi Control 24 unit, great unit too...but the phantom power in banks of 8 and switches for them on the back suck........

I'll try to capture some more video of the studio setup at my college tonight as ill be there most of the night.

BTW I also updated my photos in the link on my first post.

edit:
I got some good video but have to edit it all down so it may take some time. I want to mix and master the song on the Pro Tools HD system at school and sync some of the video clips to the final song we recorded.
