green stuff keeps forming on my gibson SGs frets
how can i stop it from happening

Are you storing it underwater (or some place humid?).

Are your strings dirty?

its probably corosion id recomend rubbing them with a thin oil (such as sewing machine oil) just lightly

But really, your not wiping your strings & frets down after you play, and your storing it in a too humid enivorment.

Wipe it down each time you play, and try to keep its storage areas humidity within 40-50%
