Well, we're going to need more information than that. What kind of distortion are you looking for?

i know you don't want to hear it but multis are only good if you can use it right and learn how to tweak the settings... so... you need to find something you can use... or just get stompboxes....

why don't you newbs understand this?

I think we can all really agree that nothing is more metal than playing a Telecaster....On fire.

The rest of the album is brilliant but that one song just really gets right on my tits for some reason

I`m pretty satisfied with my KORG AX1500G, especially Bigfuzz. But it has 2 clean settings 1 is a bit in the middle and about 5 or 6 dist.

Heck, if you only need a distortion, get a friggin stompbox. IMO multi-fx are good but most stompboxes rape them multi-fxs

Zoom G2's/G9tt

i didn't like the distortion on my g2 though i must say that the rest of the pedals sounds were excellent. really good pedal for the price. not just great high gain distortions for my taste. i use a metal muff now for immediate metal tone at any volume

The distortion on my newer zoom g2 sounds horrible. My old 606 zoom isnt to bad. But will never come close to good amp or stomp box distortion. I did buy the Boss OD20 it has a ton of different distortions built into it, a heavy octave effect, and attack shape. But I still like the tube distortion on my amp better than any box will give. Dont know how well any of the tube stomp boxes do.

not really multi FX but related...the Damage Control Womanizer.
loads of Distortions in that little box which you can dial in.

you could also look into something like the Pod XT live or Boss GT8 but i have yet to try these pedals in person.

I use a Zoom G2 and without any other pedals i've made some sickening drone/harsh noise effects which is probably as distorted as you can get. You can get 'em on eBay for like £50, they're too good and you get so many effects.

Please tell me you knew how to work the EQ's?
Probably just personal taste though.I preffer it to the boss MetalZone and the Ibanez OD.
Heh, I've gotten some pretty good sounds from that little box.
I sold the normal one, to get the one with the built in wah, which now adds so much more crunch to the tone...JUST using the pedal.
I still havent tried it through any other amp other than this little Peavey practice amp at school, but it still sounded boss.
