I'm looking to do exactly the same (UK too).

The best I've found so far is this.

I'm hoping to get most of the supplies at Maplin, but I've no idea on what the total price will be.

Let me know, because as I said I'm gonna be making one some time soon aswell

Technically, it's a fuzz, but it works well as an overdrive. This little beast puts out a lot of boost.

You got more info on that? Because that looks awesome...

What info are you looking for? I've built it and can tell you it is a great overdrive/fuzz pedal. It's not on my board right now because I'm building a new one with a better layout.

Well I'm a pedal noob, so pretty much any info that'll help the build. How much did it all cost?

^He probably has stocked up on resistors, caps, wire etc though.

I know for me building a stomp-box only costs about $15. Stockpiling ftw!

Yeah, I have a huge stock of boards, jacks, footswitches and LEDs. Although I have a crap load of wire too, the first pedals I built I just yanked wire from stuff around the house. Broken radios, lamps, etc...just yank the wiring out and throw the rest away.

Ya I am stockpiling as well. I have sooo many caps and resistors now. The only things I need are transistors, enclosures and jacks now. I also recieved a large order of vero the other day so I am set.

I don't order bulk caps and resistors because I never know what a given build will call for. 47uF and 100uF electrolytics can be purchased in bulk because they make up the charge pumps for about 99% of the pedals on the market. Same goes for 4.7K resistors to provide power to LEDs.
