alright so i had a terrible virus-like thing on my computer..it start loading windows, go to a blue screen and then restart it self..doing that over and over.

i finally deleted everything off my computer and decided to reinstall Windows XP from the very beginning.
I install it
It finishes
Screen Turns blacks
still black..
still black...
what. the. hell.
i deleted it all and did it a second time to make sure i didn't mess up..same thing happens

what did i do? what can i do?
pweese?
being a girl,i already cried from frustration...
Grrr...

EDIT: wow..thanks for all the help everyone but i fixed it before the computer broke, i forgot i had changed where the monitor was plugged in..i moved it back to its original spot and bam..it works...

What can you do?

You can do a barrel roll.
When a man lies he murders some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear to witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home?

do i do it WHILE holding the computer?

Hmm maybe your harddrive went bad?? Could be messed up somehow.

Aha, proof that girls look at porn.

Check to make sure you're not making some simple mistake, like if your moniter is actually connected to the processor, etc. I came close to buying a new computer once, when all along, the problem was that one of the plugs in the back of my computer wasn't screwed in all the way.

Do not follow his advice, unless of course you enjoy crying from frustration.

Maybe you shouldn't have so much faith in Windows.

You might as well buy a new computer, or better yet take it to a repair shop. Trying to fix it yourself is only gonna make it worse.
#12
Well, it sounds like your hard drive crashed, which means you need about $150 at least for a new one. Sorry.

mac os x owns anything bill gates could program.
this thread is a testament to that.

if this girl had mac os x she wouldn't even get the virus in the first place

do not test the will of the mac user

It's because your screen turned "blacks," while it should have turned black.
sup?

First of all, Mac is least than Windows, windows is #1.
There's not cure...have an extra 20$?
Take it to an asian computer store to fix it (Deletes everyhing)
or pay monthly for a virus remover.
Avenged Sevenfold Fan, proud of it.

dude...what help would a virus remover do? i can't even get past the windows loading screen..
second..yes Windows is numero uno
third..everything is ALREADY deleted

Just take it to a computer store (like the Geek Squad guys at Best Buy) and ask them what's wrong with it. I'm sure they'll be able to offer better help than a bunch of people on a guitar forum.

You know a music scene is fucked up when it becomes difficult to keep track of who killed who, who committed suicide and who alledgedly engaged in cannibalism.

The only advice I can give you is to take it to a shop, because I can't give you advice without actually looking at it.

It might just be a bad hard drive depending on how long you had it and how you treated it, so before you buy new anything, just take it to a repair shop and have them take a look at it.

It isn't a hard disk problem, otherwise there would be an error. Sounds more like a video problem.

Do you see anything when the system boots up at all or is it black the entire time? (e.g. do you see any text when you first turn it on)

Apple's code is among the worst code there is, largely attributed to the fact Apple has very few coding standards. The recent Quicktime bug is just another daily example of how Apple fails, particularly since the problem stems from an unchecked bcopy() call.

Don't even start, OS X is way behind the 8ball from a security perspective, WAY behind.

and again, no, you are just like every other Mac user. Running your flap, kthxbai.
