Personally, I prefer the DSL, but I'm not really a fan of either. Marshall have made far superior amplifiers before. They've also made worse, but that's beside the point

the dsl is miles better imo.

The Tsl is very muddy at high levels of gain. It puts features over tone in its case.

The Dsl, its a simpler amp, 2 channels, 2 eqs and presence/reverb. Much better tone and is a good amp despite what people say.

DSL- less muddy, and more gain if you need it.

Also the combo and the head are way different because of construction, tubes and speaker.

is that not just the dsl? i though the tsl combo was the same as the head?

The TSL 601 and 602 have a TSL60 head in them, exact same features. No difference really. The TSL122 hs a TSL100 head.

The DSL401 is an EL84 powered, 40 watt amp, and the DSL heads come in 50watt and 100 watts, using EL34

both are great amps, if you want something more versatile then the TSL wins
