My friends dad owns a restraunt and he listened to some of my recorded stuff online and tod me if i could get about a hour and half worth of songs I could possibly get a paying gig. So i started to think about song possibilites. Heres what icame up with (just artists to cover, not songs)

Jack Johnson
John Mayer
Dave Matthews Band
John Butler Trio
Ben Harper
and some original stuff.

Any other artists you would reccomend covering for this type of crowd?

Maybe some jazz standards? But only if your up to playing both the chords and the melody, or if you have a second guitarist or if you have a keyboard.

I'd suggest blue bossa or autumn leaves.

John butler is pretty good music for busking/playing at coffee shops. But some of his music is a bit difficult (a bit? I lied, alot), like ocean. And some other songs of his don't sound nice without vocals, are you up to sing?

I would say Wonderwall-Oasis, and Jazz. If you have other people playing with you you could try Jimi Hendrix, or do some blues improv. Definately do John Mayer though.

The band Bright Eyes is a favorite of me. Wish You Were Here is a good choice. I'm sure people would love to hear some Dylan as well. Maybe a little Beatles thrown in?
