Wrong.

Deathcore. And there is already a thread.

Before posting, check out my thread entitled 'whats up with the lack of hardcore in these parts'.

Technical?

I read in the pit that their guitarist is a UG member, I couldn't imagine what he must think after reading all these posts, haha.

And yes, they are total crap. I used to think they were ok, but I listened again last week and almost fell asleep on my drive home.

Correct. They aren't amazing and I don't like them but they are hated on way to hard. That could be mainly because they have a reputation for being douchebags.

they are horrific, you'd think after getting big fast they'd try to get together a tight live show.

after seeing them with the amazing chariot last friday, they haven't.

I've seen The Chariot and BMTH live and BMTH puts on a much better show, from what I saw. The Chariot was sloppy as all hell. BMTH wasn't extremely tight, but a lot tighter than The Chariot.

I can enjoy this band on occasion. Their songs are fun to play though.

On my all time worst band list. I despise them both musically and personally and hope everyone one of them ends up dead lying in a gutter especially Oli.

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

I'd love to see Sykes's accounts for both BMTH and Drop Dead.
Credit where its due, the guy has made a killing in the last year.

Lol @ them being technical..

He never said they were technical, he said they are technically a metalcore band.

When I saw them at Download they were horrifically sloppy. It takes a pretty shoddy performance to be shown up at a gig by As I Lay Dying but that is exactly what happened at Download. Having said that, I really don't understand the hatred to the band. Or any band in fact. If you don't like their music, don't listen. There is no need to "hate" them.

Also, I find it really weird that their EP was much tighter than the full length, yet they were all 16 when recording the EP and 19 when recording the album.

They really don't deserve to be where they are as a band but kudos to Oli Sykes for having an amazing business brain.

are we talking about the same chariot

both times ive seen them have ben two of the most intense sets ive ever seen. whereas bmth were dragged down by sloppy vocals and drumming and sykes' all round demeanour.

It's easy to sound tight live when your studio work is complete slop.

Normally I differentiate the difference between the two, but Oli and all of the other members are pricks and Oli supposedly abused a girl.

When they played in my town before they were big, they pulled the plug on a support band and disrespected the town in their set. That was just Oli Sykes though, so I think it's fair to say he is a nob jockey. The other members seem OK though, I haven't heard much about them being pricks.
#38
They're also thick as ****. Watch an interview with them, they lack any sort of communication skills.

Apparantly, a load of the band are BTECH (a further education qualification in Britain) in hair dressing drop outs.
