tremolo picking is basically fast attacked picking, usually 16, 32 notes, etc.

set a tempo on ur metronome and triple or quadrouple pick each note to one beat

your playing too hard then, or your string tension was too tight.

try getting thinner picks and not playing on the string so hard

you can actually build up a faster speed with the same attack by picking softly

Tremolo picking. Don't correct someone if you can't even spell it.

Oh, DON'T use a knife. It cuts through your strings. I did that once, thinking, its the Low E, its invincible. Turns out, its not...

this is what worked for me...get a medium thick pick...1.14 or more...and slightly turn the pick so it's not completely parallel to the strings...and make sure only a small part of the pick nudges the string..takes a bit of practice but it comes quickly seeing as it's not too hard

Just play a note very fast to create the effect like the note is sustaining forever. Is just basic alternate picking but playing as fast as you can. Remember to use your wrist/elbow motion (more wrist than elbow) to pick instead of locking your wrist and use pure elbow motion.
Besides being a guitar player, I'm a big fan of the guitar. I love that damn instrument. Steve Vai

its basically just 32nd note alternate picking on one note. calling it tremelo or tremolo (dont care about spelling) is just a music notation so the writer doesnt have to write a number however many times
