What settings should be used for tapping songs like "Ocean" by John Butler or "Canon" by Trace Bundy?

I just got a Fender Blues Junior (getting an elec. for christmas.) and my acoustic is sounding beautiful through it, but I have never used an amp like this.. so I don't know what settings to use.

It has

Treble
Middle
Bass
Reverb
Master Volume
Volume
FAT

(1-12 on each)

I understand what they all do, but I can't find the right sound to make the notes with the left hand sound equally as loud.

He's using an acoustic, and you're using an electric.

Different ways of resonance I think, so it could be hard.
Try adding a tiny bit of gain, or volume?

buy a compressor/sustainer pedal it will help the notes ring out when you tap

How much do those run for? And what is a good pedal for that?

I would buy it over the summer.. but just wondering so I can plan.

I'm using an acoustic I stated

Sorry mate, didn't read it correctly.

What about playing technique?
playing harder?
or even something like string gauge?

Medium gauge.

I am trying to hammer on harder with the left hand, and the song isn't really that hard, it's just you cannot hear it. So its not a matter of skill.

Well, kinda. I need to learn to hammer on harder.

Thanks!

I'll research a pedal too.
