Nah, it just means the back of it is finished. EDIT: It comes down to personal taste, I'm fine with both, but I love my unfinished Strat neck.

The Epiphone originals are notoriously crap really good, unlike other guitars by subsidary brands.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
