As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm planning on getting a new amp, although I'd also like to upgrade to a better guitar as well.

To go easy on my wallet, I'm doing one at a time. Which change will have the biggest impact on my tone?

A better amp, or a better guitar.

Thanks

Amp. What's your current gear?

I gave my brother a hand job. It was weird at first. It was weirder after.

The GA5? 'tis a good amp. Don't get a Junior LP and you'll be set to go.

Sorry for not being specific.

I'l be getting a Harley GA5 and an Epiphone Les Paul Standard.

So you guys think I should get the amp first. (that's what I was thinking).

P.S.: If I get the amp first, I'll be getting the Boss sd-1 Super Overdrive to go with it.

Don't get the SD-1. Get a Digitech Bad Monkey. It's far superior.
