Okay, so me and my mates (a guitarist, a bassist and a drummer) want to play a song in the school's festival. We are mainly into everything, some of us might be more into metal while other more into modern rock or funk rock.

We want a famous song that people can be carried away with it and could actually like a lot.

Anyway, what songs would you recommend us to play? Preferably, rock or hard rock for 4 members?

And btw, I'm one of the guitarist, and the bassist is as well the singer.

Thanks very much!

"Dammit" by Blink 182. It's really easy on every instrument, and I'd say 9 outta 10 people will recognize it.

Good luck man!

Something by the Chili Peppers, it'll be recognized and most of it is pretty easy to learn.

Interesting. It turns out that there are people on the forum who play an upright bass. I'll make a note of that.

*makes note*

*puts note on wall*

*stares at note for a minute*

*sits back down and resumes doing what I was doing*

mainstreem GN'R is pretty good. like Sweet Child O' Mine, Don't Cry, November Rain. Nickelback is pretty well known, but people will recognize AC/DC (if you can sing it lol) and that's always fun, I've played some Def Leppard at school stuff before and that was a good hit. like Rock of Ages, Photograph, Hysteria, and Let's Get Rocked... good luck, school gigs are really fun
